Before our game against SC Magdeburg, we spoke with Andreas Nilsson about his thoughts.

We know exactly what's at stake in Thursday's match, it decides the second and third place in the group. What do you think about the incoming opponent, SC Magdeburg?

We played against them in the first round, and since then, of course, they have become much stronger, they have developed. I think they lost only one match afterwards in Barcelona, so… They are in very good shape, but we are also in good condition going into this battle. The house will be full, many fans will come out to support us, it will be a great occasion to decide the rankings here in Group B.

As a team captain, how difficult is it to unite and lead the team to success when such a big battle is coming?

We have several trainings this week, we need to focus on the tactical elements as well… Of course, there is much less need for me in motivation than for a Captain, since everyone knows what this is about, a full house awaits us, we have a chance to qualify directly to the quarterfinals, the team motivation is so high, I do not need to intervene much in this, I think everyone can't wait to run out on the field on Thursday and do their job.

A full house is waiting for you on Thursday, all the tickets were sold out by the weekend. Surely big emotions and feelings will break out here, what do you think, how can we make the most out of this emotional rollercoaster?

It's always a great feeling to run out onto the field in front of a full house, all these people come to encourage us, we really feel them “on our backs” often. So this is one of the greatest feelings… they always help us as much as they can. This will be a fantastic thing and hopefully, we win.

In recent matches, whenever you had the opportunity, you always repaid it with safe hand and goals, how are you feeling now?

I am in good shape, I feel that whenever I get the opportunity, I try to take advantage of it, to use every second to give my best and to help the team.
