Ilic Zoran is leaving Telekom Veszprém after 2 years, we spoke with him before his departure.

How do you remember back on your time that you spent here?

I was very excited when I was promoted to the big team and honestly, I was a little bit nervous about how I would fit in with the adults at such a young age. Fortunately, this was not a problem. I would like to thank my teammates, the coaching staff and of course my family for supporting me along the way. I can only look back positively on my time in Veszprém. In my second season, I got a little more opportunities to play, thanks to which I managed to improve.

What is your favourite moment on and off the court?

One of my nicest memories is when I scored my first Champions League goal against Motor Zaporozhye when I was 18 years old. One of my big dreams came true with this. Of course, every cup brings nice memories, and I am happy that I managed to win several trophies with Veszprém. What I really regret is that we were not able to lift the Champions League trophy. I have become richer with many good friends. I have very good friendship with Sipi, Ligi and Pepe, but with everyone. Since we have been roommates with Sipi, our relationship has gotten even better since then and he is the one who supports me off the field as well.

What would you say to your teammates who stay in Veszprém?

I would tell them to keep fighting in the same way as before. I have confidence in them and in the fact that next year they will succeed in achieving the goal that, unfortunately, we failed to achieve this year. I hope they bring home the Champions League trophy next year.
