Telekom Veszprém was ready to play a local derby against the „smaller” Veszprém in the Aréna. A Nilsson and a Manaskov penalty goal opened the game. Telekom was one man down and conceeded two empty net goals and after 6 minutes play there was 4-4 on the scoreboard. Nilsson collected his second 2 minutes suspension in the 10th minute, but Lauge scored from a nice back shot. Telekom raised the tempo and built a 6 goals lead for the middle of the half (8-14), the „home” team called a timeout as an answer. For the 20th minute even Sipos had two 2 minutes suspensions, but Cupara made two brilliant saves (11-17). 4 minutes to go the difference was 10 goals between the teams, that raised with an additional goal for the break.

 

The second half started with a lot of mistakes, Manaskov and Nilsson were on fire and scored the majority of the goals. Corrales came to the second half and showed some nice saves (38. min 16-27). The home team in white jersey could not find the hole on the Telekom defence and even missed a penalty. The 30. Telekom’s goal was scored by Manaskov with a tricky goal. In the middle of the half Tombor tried to bring up his team, that suffered in attack (17-31). After a bad move Manaskov injured, then Sipos got a red card (49. min 20-33). The young players got an opportunity to play and they could keep the difference. In the last minutes the crowd could see nice assists and goals. For the end the only question was the difference, that finished with a dozen.

First of all I would like to congratulate for the Fejér B.Á.L. Veszprém team. And also my team because of the attitude how we prepair for the match and how we play it. We showed respect for handball and also for our opponent. We made our job serious as I told for the guys I satisfied with the attitude and the improve for the game. I also really happy we were able to give minutes for our youngsters.

Congratulation to the opponent team, we played a good match. It is always a pleasure to play against the other Veszprém. I am happy that we, young players got minutes to play. Our improvement is going step by step, the experienced players help us a lot.
 

 

Congratulte for Veszprém Team. Thanks for Momo’s words, that they took the match  seriously. Our first goal was to improve with this match we knew that the favourit is on the other side. Unfortunatelly we missed a lot of 100% situation. We have to learn from this. Everybody could see that the Veszprém played on a CL level, in the first half they showed they unbeatable face for us. Fort he second half we could improve in defence and goalkeeper as well, we did a lot of mistakes but it was okay. We have to built on this.

 

 

Congratulation to Veszprém on the victory. I am a bit disappointed, because we had many chances, but we missed a lot. The game was decided in the first half, in the second we played a better game. We could see the level where we have to arrive one day.
