Telekom Veszprém will visit Meshkov Brest on Saturday at 17:00 in the VELUX EHF Champions League. The game will be broadcasted live by Sport 1.

This is going to be our third encounter this season with Brest, because we are in the same group in the SEHA League as well. So far, we won two games out of two. In the beginning of September, we managed to win a close game of 27:28 in away, while on home court we beat their second team 32:23. The Belarusians have yet to win against us in the Champions League; the standing so far is four Veszprém victory out of four games. Our last CL encounter was in February of 2019, when we won 28:20 in Veszprém Arena.

Brest is currently on seventh position in our group in the Champions League with only one victory and five losses. They could only beat Motor, while losing from Porto, Montpellier, Kiel, Kielce, and the last time against Vardar, 36:31. Their top scorers in the CL are Darko Djukic and Marko Panic with 22 goals each.

In the SEHA League there is a triple tie behind us on the table, as Brest, Rabotnik and Zagreb each has nine points. Our next opponent won three games and lost three times out of their six matches. Besides their two losses from Veszprém, they lost to Metaloplastika as well. Their last game was against Rabotnik in away, and Meshkov won that 32:35. The top scorer of the team is Mikita Vailupau with 61 goals in six games. His ten goals average is outstanding in the league.

Telekom Veszprém played a double home game on Tuesday. First, they beat Spartak in the SEHA League, then they did the same against Csurgó in the K&H League. Their last game in the Champions League was the lost one against Kielce last Saturday.
