At weekend the MKB-MVM Veszprém will travel to Skopje, because the SHEA League still goes on and their next opponent is the Metalurg Skopje. The match begins at 19:00 on Sunday and the channel Digi Sport1 will broadcast it live.

In this year in the SHEA League it will be the second time that we play against the Macedonian champion-team. On the first match we have won 33 to 21 in the Arena.

We already introduced the Metalurg before in our previous article but since then some changes have been made in their team. According to the news the club has some financial problems, but what is even worse: there worsened relation between the team and Lino Cervar head-coach. In consequence of this before the Zagreb- Metalurg SEHA match 19 players refused to play. After they tried to make things clear and the leaders of the club supported the coach. Since then five players (including many determining ones) left the team, so the power of the Macedonians weakened. The names of those, who have left: Pavel Atman, Luka Cindric, Miroslav Kocic, Vladan Lipovina, Mijajlo Marsenic and Darko Stanic.

As a result of these events the team is getting weaker (as was to be expected) and they get further and further from the Final Four of the SHEA League. Currently they are standing at the 6th place with four victories and four defeats. They lost the match against the Zagreb automatically (10-0). In the last round (in Skopje on the home championship) they were beaten from the Vardar (6 goals): Metalurg – Vardar 20-26 (10-14). The most successful player of the Metalurg was Filip Mirkulovski then with his six goals.

In spite of this we can be sure that they will still fight hard against us in Metalurg. Carlos Ortega and Máté Lékai know that of course. We also made an interview with them yesterday in connection with the upcoming match.

The MKB-MVM Veszprém will stay in Skopje a bit longer, because on Monday they will play a friendly match against the Tinex Prolet (they are standing on the fourth place of the Macedonian Championship). The match starts at 19:00 and the channel Digi Sport2 will broadcast it.
