Telekom Veszprém will host Ceglédi KKSE on Sunday in the upcoming round of the K&H League. The game will start at 18:00, and will be broadcasted live by Veszprém Handball TV YouTube channel.

Cegléd, just as our last opponent, was promoted to the first division in a rather adventurous way. The Hungarian Handball Association closed last season without a champions, and relegated teams, so although Cegléd won the Eastern group of the second division, they could not be promoted. The economic depression however reached Mezőkövesdi KC, and in their place, they could be promoted to the first division.

Our last game against each other was played in May 2018, in the Veszprém Arena. We managed to take a confident victory and the two points with it, with a 41:28 win. The top scorer was Dragan Gajic with seven goals.

Our opponent signed five new players for the first division, while only two lest the club. Arrived to Cegléd: Balázs Németh from Balatonfüred, Martin Kállai from Vác, Levente Teleki from Balmazújváros, Ákos Pásztor from Tatabánya and Benjámin Sinkovits from Budakalász. Péter Hajdú and Szabolcs Lászlai will not continue in Cegléd colors.

Telekom Veszprém played their last game on Wednesday against the other Veszprém team. Although KKFT’s youngsters fought well, the “Építők” took a commanding victory of 21:37. The top scorers of the game were Gasper Marguc and Omar Yahia with eight goals each.
