Telekom Veszprém faced with GOG in the Champions Leauge. The guest team started the game, but Jerry Tollbring scored first a 7M penalty. GOG was in 2 goals advantage after 5 minutes, they started the game with high speed handball, as it was expected. Veszprém reached GOG at 9-9, then in the 20th minute it was 11-11. After it Veszprém could take 2 goals advantage, 11-13. In the right back position Lauge replaced Ilic Zoran. El-Deraa and after Nilsson scored amazing goals, after it GOG took his first timeout. At the end of the half Sipos got 2 min suspension, the half was 14-16. GOG started the second half, in the first attack Corrales saved excellent. On the wings we changed for Elísson and Vailupau.

The half was started with a GOG goal. Ilic Zoran had a really good match with some excellent asisst and scored 2 goals in this period. Petar Nenadic stepped onto the court. We made some mistakes in attack so in the 28th minute GOG equalized and attacked for the lead. At 19-20 Momir Ilic took his timeout. After that Thulin showed great performance in the goal, in the 45th minute it was 21-21. Adrián Sipos got his third 2 min, so he was disqualified from the game. At 23-23 Nilsson fought for a 2 min suspension for GOG. At the end Momir Ilic changed for 7 against 6, it woked well but the defence was not so good, GOG scored a lot of goal in this period. The end was so close. In the last minute it was 30-30, after Momir Ilic took timeout. And we won with Petar Nenadic excellent goal. 30-31.

Momir Ilic: It was a tough match as we expected. I told tom y players before the match to concentrate from the first minute. It wasn’t so good in the first half, after we could win in the second. Congratulate for GOG, appriciate that they could show this performance after the match against Aalborg.

Nikolej Krickau: Of course I am so proud of my players, but Veszprém showed that how can they played especially at the end of the match. At the end it was on really little things, but I think the 7 against 6 was the key, that Veszprém could won the game.

From inside the game:

Rasmus Lauge: It was not a sursprise for me that GOG is a very good team and they can play on this high level. We tried to stay close in the first half and more or less we could. Big respect for GOG and I know they can play a really high quality handball and its just getting better.

Frederik Clausen: We knew that Veszprém is a really good team and they have great players. I think it was the 7 against 6 that was the key for the victory. I am really proud for my team.
