Interview with Blaz Blagotinsek

Our Slovenian line player, Blaz Blagotinsek was nominated to be the best defender in the Champions League and if he gets to win, he would defend his title from last year. We asked Blagi about his days in Slovenia, and about his nomination to the draft of the All-Star Team.

How are you Blagi? How do you spend your free time in Slovenia how is the pandemic situation there?

Here, the situation is really good. They waived the restrictions to wear masks and almost all the precautions. You can go to wellnesses and hotels again, so everything is getting better and better. I think this thing will come to an end around the end of the year. In my free time, I am doing a lot of things. I am playing tennis 2-3 times a week, I going to the gym and usually go hiking to the local mountains. That is it. I am enjoying my vacation. Maybe around the end of June, we will go to Croatia to the seaside to rest a little bit more. I am together with my girlfriend, and we are enjoying time together.

What was your favorite game of this season?

I think our game against Szeged was a big match. We beat them by a goal. Also, the victory in Skopje against Vardar was really important. I think we played well there. I would say these two games, that I really remember from the season.

You got nominated to the All-Star Team selection of the Champions League once again. The Fans can vote for you to be the best defender of the tournament, so you can defend your title from last year. What do you think about that?

I am very proud to be in the nominated players. It is the result of good work in Veszprém. I only give my 100% in my performance. I want to help my team, and I give my all in every training and every game. I am very proud and happy!
