Not many people, but honestly, I received a huge amount of positive feedback on the internet. The ward itself didn’t surprise me, but I am honoured. I am aware that a great season is behind me.

What was the highlight of the season?

I am very proud of our Olympics performance. That 4^th place was a great result. The national team had a great season. If you look at the big picture, I am quite satisfied. However, with Veszprem, we won the league , cup, and the Champions League last 8 was not too far away either. I think we can be pleased.

Did the injury you sustained after the Olympics cast a shadow over the year?

To be honest, I needed rest. The schedule was very hectic, and this was a good opportunity to take a break, focus on family. But looking at it from another perspective, it came at the worst time. I didn't have that much time to adjust and get to know the players. After I rejoined the team, coach Ortega surely wasn’t going to start over and explain everything again. I felt that week after week I was improving. I now feel that I will be a much stronger player when spring comes. I expect more from myself.

How does it feel to be so competitive in the Champions League?

It is reassuring to be honest. We were somewhat lucky with the draw, but we cannot forget how amazing our fans have been. Most importantly, we have played well. We have achieved great results, what others could just dream about.

What are your thoughts of MKB’s new style of play, and the idea of squad rotation?

Everyone gets their chance to play, so no complaints there. The idea is that when you are on the field, you have to give it your all. So far, this philosophy has worked.

The changes during the summer really gave MKB ‘new life’. How long is this going to last?

I am confident that it will last. We don’t have to be close friends with everyone on the team, but we have to respect each other. As long as the mentality is the same, I am confident.
