Kent Robin Tonnesen suffered a serious Achilles injury in Skopje, in December of 2019. Our Norwegian right back recovered sooner than expected, regarding the seriousness of his injury, and he is training with full strength without any pain. We talked with him about the last weeks and months.

What do you do in your free time now that the restrictions were lifted a little bit?
I spend my time mostly with my family, and I train in the Arena or at home. In the afternoons, we take out the dog for a walk, or do a little walking ourselves around the city.

How is your recovery after the Achilles tendon rupture? You recovered sooner than expected, what do you think, how could you do it?
Recovery went well. I am training in Veszprém Arena with everybody else. I do not have pain in my leg at all. I will be ready for the start of the season. The secret of the quick recovery lies in the great doctor who did the surgery, furthermore, the rehab team did an excellent job as well. Marija Lojanica and the conditional coach of the Norwegian National Team put together a great plan, which worked, and helped me a lot in my comeback.

Do you play going home to Norway? If so, when?
We will most likely go home in June. The goal of the travel will be to visit family, because it has been a long time since we have met them, and who knows when will be the next time we will be able to see them after we come back to Veszprém.
