Telekom Veszprém will visit German champions THW Kiel on Wednesday at 18:45 in the EHF Champions League. About the group clash, we asked the expectations of our head coach and players.

 

David Davis: Kiel is a big opponent and they are behind us in the table. We lost both matches against them last season. They killed us in the first game, and although we were closer in the second match, we still lost. This year, I want to beat them, I do not even care if it is here in Veszprém or there. In my mind, I am just waiting for that moment to play against them and beat them. We lost the last week for preparation, but it does not matter. The team has been outstanding in the last three months, and even if we lost some rhythm, we believe that we can win. I think the team is ready, the players are full with energy and we go there to fight for every second and to bring the victory back to Veszprém.

 

 

Márton Székely: It does not matter where we travel and with what kind of roster. We represent Veszprém and Hungary, so we cannot have any other goal, than leaving the court with a victory. I am sure of one thing; however this quarantine period may break us, nobody wants this victory more than us.

 

 

Omar Yahia: It going to be a hard game, as we have a tough week behind us. We hoped to have all the team, but now the lack of our teammates gives us more motivation for this next game. We hope that we can prove that we are even better, with less players.

 

 

Nikolaj Markussen: Kiel is a difficult team to play against. They absolutely destroyed Aalborg last week in their home court. We have respect for them, but we want to go there to win. We have great confidence because we play well at the moment. We are going to Germany for the two points.
