One Veszprém HC have terminated the contracts of two players, Swedish right-back Lukas Sandell and Danish goalkeeper Mike Jensen by mutual consent.

Our club One Veszprém HC and two of its players have agreed: right-back Lukas Sandell and goalkeeper Mike Jensen will start the next season with another team.

Swedish international Lukas Sandell arrived at the club in the summer of 2023, scoring 234 goals in 92 games, winning the Hungarian championship twice with One Veszprém, the Hungarian Cup once and being part of the historic IHF Super Globe victory last October. As well as Danish goalkeeper Mike Jensen, who has made 52 appearances for the club since his arrival in February 2024, scoring five goals and winning two Hungarian championship gold medals as a member of our team.

"We decided to part ways with both players because in the long term we cannot give them the role in this system that they want and we need," said László Nagy, our club's sporting director. - So we finally came to the decision to terminate their contracts by mutual agreement so that they can continue their careers at another club, and we are looking for another solution for their positions, players who fit better into Veszprém's long-term plans."

Announcements regarding the replacement of the two players, the changes to the One Veszprém HC roster for the coming seasons and other announcements will be made at a press conference on 17 July and at a fan briefing at the One Veszprém Arena on the same afternoon, more information on which will be provided soon.
