In the second leg of the round of 16 of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, we are going to play against OTP Bank - PICK Szeged at Veszprém Arena. The match will be broadcast live by Sport 1.

A little more than a week has passed and the second part of the sports historical duel in the Champions League is coming, the 186th Veszprém-Szeged clash in total. So far, the two teams have met each other in 185 matches, during which Veszprém won 126 times, Szeged celebrated 52 times, while the match ended up with a draw 7 times.

Between the two matches, both teams played in the K&H League. Szeged travelled to Tatabánya, where they brought the points for the victory, while our team played in Balatonboglár, against NEKA, and for the first time of the season we lost a point in the domestic championship after reached a draw.

In the 2022/23 season, we have met Juan Carlos Pastor's team several times. First, we won the Hungarian championship 31-26 at home, and then in the round of 16 of the Champions League we won by thirteen goals in Szeged.

Charlotte Bonaventura and Julie Bonaventura will be officiating the match on Thursday.
