Player eligibility for the Final Four in December

As we have already informed the public, the European Handball Federation’s decision making committee has made a decision about the remaining games of the 2019/20 season. In the men’s Champions League, they will not organize the best 16 and quarterfinal clashes, but the first two teams of Group A and B will participate in the Final Four in December.

According to the decision of the committee, in the remainder of this season, which in case of the men’s Champions League is only the Final Four in December, every player has to play in the team, that he is currently in contract with at the time of the tournament. It means that the players arriving to Telekom Veszprém will be eligible to play in the shirt of the Hungarian record champions in Cologne.

Telekom Veszprém qualified to the Final Four in the second place of its group. The event will be held on 28-29 of December in Cologne, with Barca, Kiel and Paris alongside Veszprém.
