Építők played a local derby against Balatonfüred in the Veszprém Aréna. The match started with a Manaskov’s goal and his missed shot. Cupara saved a penalty, Füred could not score in the home net, so they called a timeout (8. min 5-0). Szűcs could not score from 3 clear chances to Cupara, while Marguc was scoring again and made the result to 7-1. Tönnesen changed the standing to 10-1, the guests could not find the hole on the Veszprém wall. Reaching the 20. minute Füred scored only one goal, the difference was 10 goals. For the second Füred’s goal Markussen answered back with a nice goal (22. min 13-2). Manaskov scored a brilliant air drop goal from Nenadic’s assist. The game was over for the break.
 
The second half started the same way, with easy Veszprém’s goals and a suffering guest team. Corrales replaced Cupara, but Füred could not score to him (37. min 19-5). Veszprém led nice actions and scored almost every time. Davis gave opportunity to every player, he could do it because of the difference. Balatonfüred played on the weakest game of their history, in the middle of the half the Veszprém advantage was 18 goals (26-8). With Maqueda’s penalty the difference was 20 goals for the first time (50. min 29-9). Veszprém scored many goals in a row without answer, Füred collapsed totally. At the end we could see a devastating Veszprém victory.
 

David Davis: I am happy because of the performance of my team. We are trying to take every game and opponent really seriously, and today was the second time in a row, where I am really satisfied with the attitude. The guys were determined and motivated. The final result does not even matter, but the way we achieve it. Congratulations to my players, and good luck to Balatonfüred for the future.
 
Rodrigo Corrales: We played a very good game. We had a good defense and Cupara saved everything in the first half. It was important to show a good performance against a team, which plays in the EHF Cup. We showed respect to them and we are very happy for the two points.

 

 
László György: Congratulations to Veszprém, they were magnificent today. They outplayed us in every aspect of the game, we could not be equal with them neither in offense, nor in defense. Veszprém’s victory is perfectly well-deserved. We have to stop now a little bit and think over how to now. There are things we have to change. Csurgó is coming in one and a half week, so we have to look up ahead. I hope some of our injured players can return by then. Good luck to Veszprém in the Champions League.
 
Balázs Szöllősi: Congratulation to Veszprém, they deserved the win. It is hard to say anything after a big loss, I have never been defeated like this. We have to stand up, have to correct the mistakes. Coming the game against Csurgó, we have to prepare ourselves for that match.
