Telekom Veszprém hosted Dabas in Veszprém Aréna on a Hungarian Leauge game. Építők started the game, Vailupau scored first, then he missed two clear chances. Corrales started very well, he saved a penalty and with Mahé’s goal the result was 3-1. The new signing Remili scored from a back shot and gave a nice assist. The teams played in high tempo, for the middle of the half Veszprém built a 2 goals lead (10-8). Ilic changed continuously his team, in attack they played good with Lukács in playmaker position. Veszprém used well the wing players, but Dabas had answer to all the goal. The defence was not hard enough, Veszprém conceded a lot of goals, the result was a draw in the half time.

The second half started with a guest goal, Építők answered back with 4 goals. Veszprém raised the tempo higher and in 6 minutes made a 5-1 run. Marguc scored two nice goals from the wing, after this came the first Dabas’s timeout (40. min 27-21). Remili played well, he scored big goals and gave beautiful assists. Reaching the middle of the half Dabas called another timeout trailing by 5 goals (30-25). Nilsson changed Pechmalbec in pivot position and scored 3 goals in a row right away (50. min 35-27). Marguc scored the 40th home goal in the endgame. Veszprém earned a 11 goals victory, thanks to the second half’s performance.

Győző Tomori: First of all, congrats to the Veszprém team. I think it was a deserved victory, but in the first half we could keep Veszprém’s tempo. In the second half Veszprém scored a lot of fastbreak goals. So, congrats and all the best for Veszprém!

Momir Ilic: First of all, congrats to my players for the victory. And also, to Dabas team for their first half. It was really good. They always have ambition to play against us and we appreciated that. I am really proud for our guys they showed character tonight. They fought against themselves after two lost games in the Champions League and after lot of injuries and illnesses. I am really glad because of our fans, they supported us in Magdeburg also. We are going to give them it back. We need time of course but we will give it back. I am sure our time will come. We are working on it, just we have to put more passion and concentration into the box. I wish all the best to Dabas team.

Péter Pallag: We can be proud of our first half performance. We could realize that we planned before the game. It was a quick, opened game with a lot of goals.

Péter Lukács: Dabas played a really good game, congratulations to them for this. Our performance improved for the second half and thanks to this we could make a confident victory.
