Telekom Veszprém hosted Budakalász on a Hungarian league game. The guests started the game and they scored, but Elísson answered back from the wing. Nilsson was found many times and he scored all of his shots. Veszprém raised the lead continuously thanks to Cupara’s saves and goal (15. min 12-5). Budakalász played 7:6 formation, but because of the lot of mistakes Veszprém scored easy goals and made a 10 goals difference for the 20th min (16-6). Elísson was on fire in attack and the defence worked very well (26. min 20-8). Veszprém already built a big advantage for the break.

The second half started with an ElDeraa’s 2 minutes suspension, but Nilsson scored 2 goals. Ligetvári showed himself with huge back shot goals. In the second half the guest team was better in attack, there were a lot of goals in the beginning of the second half (40. min 31-18). At the middle of the half Budakalász came back to 11 goals, at this time there were a lot of missed shots on home side. Cupara was the goalkeeper in the whole game, in the second half he was less efficient. Elísson scored his 10th goals and raised the lead to a dozen 5 minutes to go (38-26). István Csoknyai: In the first half, we could feel what Veszprém is capable of, why it is at this level and why it strives to reach the Final4 every year. Unfortunately, we did not really succeed in anything we planned in the first half. This showed in missed chances, mistakes and many easy goals we conceded. It went a little better in the second half, we scored 18 goals, which is good. We wish Veszprém all the best in the future, let them win everything that they can in the season! We have another very important match this year, we are preparing for it.

Péter Gulyás: I think that the true face of Budakalász can really be seen based on their handball in the second half, even in the first half, if they had played with a little more faith, it would have been closer. Looking at our game, with the injury of Yahia Omar, we practiced new tactical elements that we need to develop in the next 3-4 days. Let's move on, we are preparing against Dinamo Bucuresti!

From inside the game

Bence Kiss: The game practically ended after the first half, we played very bad. We used to play games with different tempo. We will prepare for the upcoming game, that we want to win.

Patrik Ligetvári: We played as we wanted, and we built a big advantage in the first half. We practiced many variations that we have to use because of Yahia’s injury. An important match awaits us against Bucharest.
