In the final of the II. HandballCity Festival Telekom Veszprém met THW Kiel. Veszprém in red jersey started the game, Yahia missed a shot, but from the next he scored. The teams played in high tempo, after 4 minutes there were 8 goals (5-3). Yahia played well, he scored many goals in a row and gave nice assists (12. min 9-6). At the middle of the half Ilic made the usual line change and Veszprém raised the lead to 3 goals, Kiel called a timeout. Pechmalbec got a 2 minutes suspension, Kiel scored two quick goals, then within seconds they turned out the lead (20. min 11-12). Ilic scored a brace, Építők took back the lead. Corrales made huge saves, in attack Vailupau scored his chances confidently. For the half Veszprém had 2 goals advantage.

In the beginning of the second half Veszprém scored two empty net goals in powerplay and was in 4 goals advantage. Kiel made a lot of mistakes in attack, Veszprém punished them and ran away by 6 goals (37. min 23-17). Corrales saved almost every shot, Aréna was louder and louder. After a stolen ball Sipos scored, then he got a 2 minutes suspension in defense (46. min 28-20). Corrales showed an extraclassic performance, Kiel could not handle him. After Pechmalbec’s goal Aréna count to 10 on Kiel (53. min 33-23). At the end Veszprém won the final on a goal rich match with a fantastic performance.
