Yet another of our player produced a positive test

Two games are awaiting for our team this week in the Hungarian league. The mandatory testing for the Hungarian Handball Federation took place today.

One of our player produced a positive PCR test today. Jorge Maqueda, who had mild symptoms, trained with the Spanish national team last week, and met his Veszprém teammates on 28 October in Kiel for the last time. Although he played against Hungary with the Spanish national team, Patrik Ligetvári and Márton Székely gave three negative PCR test result since.

After consulting with Veszprém’s Epidemiological Office, we received an information that only the positive player has to start quarantine this week, while the team does not have to go into isolation. This means, we can play against FTC and Eger this week in the K&H League.

We wish a quick recovery and a swift return to Jorge!
