Ahmed Hesham, a 24-year-old Egyptian left back, will join our team in the summer of 2025, transferring from Montpellier to Veszprém.
The young left back of the Egyptian national team has signed a 3+1 season contract with our club.
Ahmed and his current team, Montpellier HB, are leading Group B of the European League without any point losses. The young left back has contributed 18 goals so far in the group stage matches.
In the French Liqui Moly Starligue, Montpellier HB currently holds third place behind Nantes and PSG. Hesham’s domestic league statistics stand at 52 goals from 86 shots.

László Nagy, the sporting director of Veszprém Handball Club, praised Ahmed Hesham's skills and highlighted his compatibility with Xavier Pascual’s playing system:
"Egyptian handball has been progressing spectacularly in recent years, producing increasingly better players. Ahmed Hesham has caught attention both in the national team and with Montpellier. I believe he will fit well into our head coach Xavier Pascual’s playing philosophy, contributing in both offense and defense. We trust he will become a very valuable member of our team!"

Ahmed also sent a message to the Veszprém fans:
"Hi everyone!
I can’t wait to join the team from next season! I’ve always dreamed of playing for a big club like Veszprém, and an even bigger dream of mine is to win the Champions League. My first dream has now come true, and I’m confident that the second one will soon come to pass as well!"
