In the 10th round of the K&H League, we hosted NEKA at Veszprém Arena. Compared to the midweek squad, our head coach changed three places: Jensen, Marguc and Cindric were out, and Várady-Szabó, Sandell and Hoffmann were in. Xavi Pascual sent the following team to the field: Corrales, Casado, Kosorotov, Grahovac, Pechmalbec, Remili and Végh. In attack, Descat came in to replace our Croatian line player. The match started at a high pace, as after barely a minute and a half the scoreboard was already 2-2. The visitors held well in the upcoming minutes, so Xavi Pascual made some changes, Fabregas and Ligetvári also came in. True, the former only replaced Grahovac in defence for a few minutes. The following period was about Corrales and Descat. Our Spanish goalkeeper made a series of saves, while our French winger scored three goals in a row, thanks to which we managed to lead by four goals (12th minute, 9-5). Not long after, with the first goal of Hoffmann, who had just entered the field, we had a seven-goal lead. Thus, the time-out came from László Sótonyi, after which Fabregas and Vailupau also came in. However, the goals came from Remili, who scored four times against NEKA, increasing our lead to ten goals (20th minute, 17-7). Turning to the crunch time of the first half, Várady-Szabó also got a chance, and Végh came in instead of Remili. In the last minutes, we managed to increase our lead further, so we could expect the continuation from 26-12.

We started the second half with the following team: Várady-Szabó, Descat, Kosorotov, Casado, Pechmalbec, Sandell and Végh. Instead of our Swedish right back, Grahovac came on defence. The second half started at a similar pace to the first, with twelve goals scored in just over four minutes (32nd minute, 33-17). In the continuation, Várady-Szabó made several saves, and Descat just scattered the goals, changing the score to 37-17 with his eleventh goal. Hoffmann, Vailupau and Grahovac also came in. At this time, Descat was a playmaker, while Vailupau played as a right back. With a quarter of an hour left in the match, Hoffmann also used his third chance, thus increasing the difference further (47th minute, 44-19). Turning the last few minutes, Ligetvári also got his chance in attack again, and then Grahovac also scored his first goal, which increased our number of goals to 48. Finally, we won 52-27 in the 10th round of the K&H League, which put us back at the top of the table.

László Sótonyi: First of all, I would like to congratulate Veszprém, it is always an experience and an honour for us to play in such a hall, against such players. We tried to gain experience today, which we can use in the future. However, today there was not one, but rather several classes of difference between the two teams. Thank you for taking us seriously and I would like to wish Pasqui and the team much success. We will continue on our way!

Xavi Pascual: First of all, we would like to thank NEKA for the great game. We started the match with full focus, I am very proud of my team. If we can play with such intensity, no one will have an easy time against us. I am very happy for our young players, whom we were able to give a chance today. They are important for us, although they do not play in all our matches, but they were able to help us a lot today. From here we are preparing for Pelister, we are waiting for our fans to support us at this stage of the season, we need them.

Levente Tóth: First of all, congratulations to Veszprém, it is an honour to play against such world class players. Today I think we were able to show ourselves, we got a chance, everyone in the team was able to play. We only build on the positive things, experiences and move on, of course. 

Patrik Ligetvári: We were able to play a very good match, NEKA is a good team, we have had bad experiences against them. We fought all the way, we were able to take the match seriously and so we played a very good match against them. Much success to them!
