A One Veszprém játékoskeretének változásai a 2025/2026-os szezonra

2025-01-13 16:18Yanis Lenne, a 28-year-old French right-winger, will join our team this summer, transferring his base from Montpellier to Veszprém. The experienced French national team right-winger and a member of the Liqui Moly Starligue 2022-23 All-Star team has signed a 4-year contract with our club, lasting until the summer of 2029.
Yanis Lenne and his team, Montpellier HB, currently lead Group B of the European League without any losses, with Yanis contributing 22 goals in the group stage so far. In the French Liqui Moly Starligue, they are currently in third place behind Nantes and PSG, where Yanis has scored 20 goals so far.
Dr. Bartha Csaba, CEO of Veszprém Handball Team Zrt., shared his thoughts on the signing:
“I am delighted that we managed to sign one of the best right-wingers in the world, who is a key player in the French national team. Yanis is a very experienced and skilled player, as evidenced by the fact that he is the first choice for his position in both the national team and his club, Montpellier. I am confident he will be a great asset to our team.”
Nagy László, sporting director of One Veszprém HC, praised Yanis Lenne’s finishing ability and highlighted the momentum his youthful and positively aggressive style can bring to the team. He stated that Yanis will be a key player both in attack and defense and that his style perfectly aligns with the head coach’s vision. He also acknowledged that with Yanis's arrival, there will be three players in this position, and while some future matters are still being worked out, any changes will be communicated transparently and promptly to the fans.
Yanis also sent a message to Veszprém fans:
“I am very happy to start the next season in Veszprém and face new challenges. I am proud to have the opportunity to prove myself in a team with such a rich history and well-deserved fame. I can’t wait to meet not only my new teammates but also the club’s management, staff members, and, of course, the legendary Veszprém fans. I am especially thrilled to work once again under one of the best coaches in the world, as I had the privilege of playing in his team during my time in Barcelona. Until then, I wish all the best and much success to Veszprém for the spring season!”
