In the 8th round of the K&H league, our team played against Budakalász at Veszprém Arena. At the beginning of the match, the goals were scored alternately, until the 6th minute, when we led by two for the first time with Elísson's second goal. In the continuation, István Csoknyai's team held on well, so the difference did not change (10th minute 9-7). After that, with ElDeraa and Elísson's goals, we were able to increase our advantage, the difference was already four. Veszprém leading 16-13, and Momir Ilic called a time-out, after which we scored goals one after the other, while Biosca saved several times in a row (26th minute 19-13). In the person of Dániel Barna, we introduced a newcomer to the match, who took advantage of the opportunity and scored his first goal in the senior team from a penalty. We increased our advantage by two more goals before the break, so we expected the continuation from 23-15.
At the beginning of the second half, after Fabregas' first goal, we already led by ten (33rd minute 26-16). In the continuation, the difference increased more, in the 39th minute it was already 31-17 on the scoreboard. Nagy also made several saves, which we took advantage of at the front and quarter of an hour before the end of the match, we already led with seventeen hits. In the 53rd minute, Dániel Barna scored his third goal, which allowed us to keep the advantage we had won earlier. Not long after, Dániel Barna scored his first action goal, and then he presented a beautiful drop, with which he scored his sixth hit from his sixth shot. In the end, leading all the way, we reached a confident 47-28 victory in the last match before the national team break.

István Csoknyai: First of all, I congratulate Veszprém, they won a historic victory on Thursday, they returned home with a real feat. In the first 20 minutes, it was felt that they were tired, which might have been because of the trip, but I think they kept that period well too. All in all, they honoured us by beating us well. After the time-out, Ilic arranged the lines, I think Veszprém played quite correctly after that. We have to hold on to the fact that we were able to score 28 goals here, but the home team scored countless goals with their quick attacks and quick counterattacks. I congratulate them once again!
Péter Gulyás: I think that Budakalász plays much better handball than their current position in the table shows. I think Csoki told me everything before me, after the time-out, the team reacted as is welcome and expected. But after such a Barcelona game, we returned home quite tired. That's why we thought to enter our young player for this match, to help us a little bit. I also thank the employees of Telekom Veszprém - since this was a Friday evening decision - for the background work that made it possible for him to take the field today. We performed well in the first quarter of an hour, but of course we also felt from inside that this is now a different coffee house. We will now have a week to gather energy and then we can get back into the fights rested.
János Dániel Barna: I congratulate Budakalász, I think they played quite well. Today was a great experience for me, I found out last night that I was going to play, I can honestly say I couldn't even sleep. And on top of that, I got the confidence in the match as well.
