Dr. Zoltán Csík, the CEO of Veszprém Handball Team Zrt., is stepping down from his position. His role will be taken over by Dr. Csaba Bartha in the future.

Dr. Zoltán Csík assumed the leadership position of Telekom Veszprém in the spring of 2018. Under his guidance, the team achieved numerous outstanding results in recent seasons. However, he now faces new professional challenges and is leaving the team.

Under his leadership, the Telekom Veszprém men's handball team won three Hungarian championship titles, five Hungarian Cups, and reached the silver medal in the highest international competition series. His achievements in sports diplomacy include being elected Vice President of the SEHA – Gazprom League, under whose leadership the team won the series three times. The club expresses its gratitude for his work in the team's success, and we wish him further professional achievements and good health in his career!

As of today, Dr. Csaba Bartha will take over the management of Veszprém Handball Team Zrt. His name is familiar in sports circles. He has worked with numerous football teams, has been involved in the work of the Hungarian Olympic Committee as a strategic executive several times, and notably, between 2016 and 2022, as the President of Győri ETO Handball Club, he led the team to three Champions League victories in addition to national championship titles and cup successes. Additionally, he performs important sports science work as the Director of the Institute of Sports at the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sports Science, where he is also an associate professor.

"I gladly accepted the offer; it is a great honour for me to fight for great goals with the Veszprém Handball Team Zrt. as CEO, both in domestic cups and championships and on the international stage. Our undisguised goal in the Champions League is to take a step forward and fight for the final victory – the club's past achievements have undoubtedly long predestined us for this," said Dr. Csaba Bartha.

With nearly six years of experience in the women's sector of the sport, he looks forward to the challenges ahead with optimism: "I thank the owners for their trust, and I will work to repay it to the best of my ability. In addition to managing the senior team, I also want to take part in coordinating youth training. I am confident that we will find the perfect balance and harmony between the two areas," said the newly appointed CEO.
