Official Announcement: Nikolaj Markussen

Our Club can officially confirm that the Danish World champion left back, Nikolaj Markussen will continue his career in Telekom Veszprém starting July 2020. The player with 212 centimeter height signed a two-year contract with the „Építők”. There was no buy out fee paid for Nikolaj Markussen.

Markussen started his professional career in 2009 in Nordsjaelland, then signed with the Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid in 2011. After this, he went to Qatar for a year, to El Jaish, then spent one year in Danish side Skjern. He has been playing in Bjerrigbro-Silkeborg since 2015, with which he won the Danish championship in 2016.

He won a European championship gold in 2012, and a World championship gold in 2019 on home court.
