Momir Ilic decided to go with the Corrales, Vailupau, Yahia, Mahé, Pechmalbec, Elderaa, Strlek starting line-up against Orlen Wisla Plock. In the first 20 minutes there wasn’t much to separate the sides, but in the 23rd minute – following Abel Serdio’s goal – Wisla Plock went 12-9 up. In the dying minutes of the first half Veszprém could catch up a little, they were only one goal behind in the half-time.

Telekom Veszprém could turn the game around in the very first minutes of the 2nd half due to the spectacular performance of Bjarki Már Elísson. Rodrigo Corrales produced some excellent saves and our defending improved a lot compared to the 2nd half, and by the 52nd minute we were 27-20 up. Wisla Plock put up a decent fight throughout the whole match, but they could not come back into the game from here. It means that in the final Telekom Veszprém faces MOL Tatabánya KC.
